The greatest human failure

I was thinking about how other species have learned to live in unison with the nature using their natural instincts. Birds for example, migrate from one continent to another to find weather, essental for their survival. Birds have been migrating for thousands (or is it millions) of years. Migrating is their natural instinct.

Humans on the other hand have chosen to overcome the nature, rather than to live in unison with the nature. For example, instead of migrating to warmer weather, we have chosen to overcome harsh winters by putting heaters in every house and every vehicle. Technology is how we have learned to overcome the nature. Technology has become closer to us than the nature itself!

I think, though, this has caused us to lose our instincts that were developed over a period of millions of years.

Let's take an example of how we respond to a bag of potato chips. - I want it! I have to have it now!

We don't think - am I hungry? or is it good for me?

This - losing our natual insticts that we developed while being in unison with the nature over millions of years - in my opinion is the greatest human failure.

So is technology really the road to discovering a true meaning of life or is it the road to the end of life?
