Dear Sandeep,
We hope all is well with you and your family, and that you are safe and healthy.
Earlier this week, The Congressman joined Nicole Wallace on MSNBC to discuss why the January 6th select committee must "get the truth out on the table." When asked about what should be done, The Congressman explained that "We have to do the right thing… the select committee needs to expose the truth… Secondly, we obviously need to hold accountable those Republicans who subscribe to the notion that Donald Trump won the election and Joe Biden did not."
Congressman Raja Krishnammorthi's work exposing baby food brands tainted with toxic heavy metals also appeared in Essence this week. The Congressman, who chairs the subcommittee on Economic and Consumer policy called the findings a "real eye opener," particularly for parents and caregivers.
In a recent interview with WBEZ, the Congressman spoke about his commitment to reducing youth consumption of tobacco products, most notably e-cigarettes. Congressman Raja heavily criticized the FDA's recent approval of a high-nicotine e-cigarette sold by R.J. Reynolds. "The product that was approved is the second most popular e-cigarette among high schoolers. It has a nicotine content that is almost three times what they allow in the UK and Europe." Despite this news, Congressman Raja will continue to doggedly pursue legislation curbing the youth vaping epidemic.
We will continue to bring you news about Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi's work in D.C. and Illinois.
