| Sandeep, I'll be straight: there's a real fight happening inside the Democratic Party right now, and I want to know where you stand. One side says: press Democrats to move on impeachment now. Make every Senate Republican go on record. Create accountability. Show some spine for once. The other side says: impeachment is a dead end. Republicans control the Senate — they'd acquit him before the weekend is over, hand him a political win, and we'd have burned every ounce of organizing energy we need for 2026 on a guaranteed loss. I have my own view. But I want to hear yours first.

Here's what I keep coming back to, regardless of how you voted: none of it works if dark money keeps Senate Republicans immune from accountability. Citizens United is their force field. Unlimited, anonymous corporate cash means those senators can ignore voters, ignore the Constitution, and still win re-election every six years. They're not afraid of an impeachment vote. They're afraid of losing their funding — and right now, they don't have to be. The 28th Amendment to overturn Citizens United breaks that force field. We are 16 states away. The grassroots pressure we build right now determines how hard we can push in the states that matter most.
