I’m not used to sending messages like this

Equality PAC

Dear Sandeep,

My name is Sue, and I’m the proud wife of Congresswoman Julie Johnson.

Julie Johnson and her wife, Sue

To be honest, I’m not used to sending messages like this.

But with Julie's runoff just four days away, I wanted to reach out personally to share a little about why I believe in Julie so much – and why I think you and everyone in North Texas should too.

Sandeep, since Julie first decided to run for office, I’ve had a front-row seat to every step of her career. Together, we’ve celebrated the highs: her first election win, her groundbreaking appointment as the first LGBTQ+ congresswoman from the South, and the many events at home in North Texas, where we’ve gotten to hear from Julie’s constituents how impactful her work has been to them.

But I’ve also been there for the hard moments, and this year has had no shortage. In the last 12 months alone, Trump gerrymandered Julie out of her seat, a last-minute primary challenger jumped into her race, and Texas Republicans directly targeted voters in her district through outrageous voter suppression tactics.

After a year like this one, a lot of politicians would walk away – but that’s not the Julie I know.

Sandeep, Julie’s runoff election is just around the corner, and it’s going to be a tight race to the finish. Her campaign is putting everything they can into this race, but resources are tight, and every bit of support is crucial. So I’m asking: If you believe in Julie’s work as much as I do, then can you please support her fight by donating $5, $25, or more to her campaign today?

If you’ve saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your contribution will be automatically split between Julie Johnson and Equality PAC.

Sue
