Dear Sandeep,
We hope all is well with you and your family, and that you are safe and healthy.
The Congressman joined MSNBC with host Ali Velshi this week to discuss the ongoing investigation of the January 6th insurrection at the Capitol. Congressman Krishnamoorthi said that, "The sense I get is that people just want to know the truth, certainly about January 6th, I think people are horrified about what happened on January 6 and they don't want it to happen again."
Congressman Krishnamoorthi also joined Crain's Chicago Business to speak about the United States' global vaccination efforts. The Congressman said that the lack of action is "just inviting another global health disaster... we haven't learned from the delta variant, when I issued a warning that my relatives in India were dying and it was coming here... It is imperative that the U.S. and our allies dramatically expand our global vaccination efforts."
The Congressman was featured in Homeland Preparedness News this week, reiterating his stance that further vaccination efforts are crucial in the wake of Omicron and other emerging variants. Congressman Krishnamoorthi said that, "While the $1.3 billion in vaccine aid funding we passed in the House version of the Build Back Better Act will make a difference, that funding is only a step in the right direction for the much larger fight ahead."
