Last week, Congressman Raja published an op-ed in The Diplomat detailing the keys to competing with China. The Congressman wrote, "there are four things that America must do to advance our interests and win this competition [with the CCP] through what I describe as the four Ps — people, production, partnerships, and protection."
On Monday, Congressman Raja hosted a panel discussion on legislation he sponsored that would level the playing field for job applicants without college degrees. He observed that "in today's dynamic and competitive global economy, the U.S. must embrace the diverse pathways through which our workforce gains skills, empowering a broader spectrum of talent."
Also on Monday, Congressman Raja joined Illinois Tollway Executive Director Cassaundra Rouse and other Tollway leaders to review progress on the Elgin O'Hare Western Access project, which will add new roads and interchanges to improve access to O'Hare for businesses and communities to the west. He commented, "in addition to cutting travel time, this project will reduce congestion on local roads, attract more businesses west of O'Hare, and create as many as 65,000 new, good-paying jobs across our region by 2040."
