Dear Sandeep,

Congressman Raja was on Good Morning America to discuss his TikTok bill which got signed into law this past week. The bill requires parent company ByteDance to divest or sell TikTok in order for TikTok to continue operating in the U.S. He described various threats the bill address including the following: "Under Chinese intelligence laws, [ByteDance] has to hand over the data of its users-- including 170 million Americans' user data-- to the CCP upon request."

Congressman Raja also made an appearance on CBS News Chicago to go over the next steps in ByteDance divesting from TikTok and the potential legal battle that may arise from it. He concluded, "It's up to ByteDance to decide how they're going to proceed - this is the law of the land as of this moment."

Congressman Raja penned an op-ed for The Hill about passing the national security supplemental and its purpose to prevent war with China. He noted, "Voting for the supplemental means averting war. Voting against the supplemental means a world of emboldened authoritarianism and diminished US leadership on the global stage, inviting further armed conflict initiated by aggressors from Tehran to Beijing."

During a House Oversight Committee hearing, Congressman Raja talked about introducing the BIOSECURE Act and its broader meaning for US taxpayers. During the hearing, he declared, "I've introduced the BIOSECURE Act on a bipartisan basis which prevents federal taxpayer dollars from flowing to biotech companies of concern including WuXi AppTec."

In addition, Congressman Raja wrote an op-ed for Federal Times about how the US must take immediate action to prepare for Chinese cyber threats. He wrote, "Hackers backed by the People's Republic of China threaten to disrupt the daily lives of Americans... To stop the cyber attacks of tomorrow, our work must begin today."

Lastly, Congressman Raja visited Fox News to discuss how Mexico is involved in the production of fentanyl. He said, "If you were in that hearing room and saw those victim's families and the searing pain they are going through, we have no choice but to act right now.
