On Tuesday, Congressman Raja discussed on CNN his belief that Speaker Johnson would not be removed as House Speaker if he brings up Ukraine aid for a vote. The Congressman stated, "If Speaker Johnson brings Ukraine and other aid packages to the floor and does the right thing – and then Marjorie Taylor Greene seeks to remove him or moves to remove him – I think that Democrats would join in a motion to kill such a maneuver."
On Wednesday, Congressman Raja wrote a letter to Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg and Secretary of State Antony Blinken about exercising caution when approving more flights between the US and China. The Congressman wrote, "Should the U.S.-China passenger carrier market expand without the U.S. government addressing [China's anti-competitive behavior], U.S. aviation workers, travelers and airlines will pay a hefty price tag."
On Friday, Congressman Raja was presented with an award by the Water Environment Federation for his commitment to clean and safe water. The Congressman responded, saying, "I want to thank the Water Environment Federation for the honor of the 2023 Public Officials Award and for their continued efforts to improve water quality across the country and the world."
