On Saturday night, Congressman Raja joined WGN to forcefully denounce political violence in the wake of the assassination attempt on former President Trump. He said "This is a wake-up call to all of us: we must avoid rhetoric and avoid actions that could provoke violence... Let's tone down the rhetoric, tone down the temperature, and remind everyone that we are all Americans first."
On Tuesday, Congressman Raja presented the East Dundee library with $1 million in federal funding that he secured to bring the building into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. He commented, "All public buildings, especially places as important as community libraries, should be fully accessible to all members of the public."
Also on Tuesday, Congressman Raja presented $500k in federal funding for improvements to Central Road, benefiting businesses and residents in South Barrington and Hoffman Estates. He stated, "By making improvements to Central Road and adding to South Barrington's and Hoffman Estates' vast multiuse path network, we are connecting our communities while making them even safer for pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists."
