This past week, Congressman Raja presented multiple projects in the district with nearly $3.5M in funding, including Hoffman Estates, East Dundee, Elgin, and Pingree Grove. The Congressman was ecstatic that he could help secure grants for so many public works projects and looks forward to seeing them put to good use.
Congressman Raja later commented on former President Trump's remarks about Taiwan paying the United States more for defense. The Congressman stated, "Former President Trump's threat to abandon our nation's longstanding, bipartisan commitments to Taiwan would mean betraying one of the world's most vibrant democracies to the Chinese Communist Party."
Finally, Congressman Raja commented on President Biden's decision to not seek reelection for the presidency. The Congressman mentioned, "Through his decision today, Joe Biden has demonstrated the true and selfless nature of a life committed to putting the country, and his fellow Americans, first." Congressman Raja then endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris to be the Democratic nominee.
