Character Counts. Character Matters.
The race for the U.S. Senate seat in Maine, a key pick up opportunity in our path to taking back control of the Senate, is in disarray. Graham Platner is facing credible accusations of rape following months of controversy, and we anxiously await his decision to likely exit the race.
Folks, let's not mince our words. For the Democratic Party, this is potentially nothing short of a catastrophic own goal.
Republicans control the White House, the U.S. House, the U.S. Senate, and the Supreme Court. And during this Republican takeover of Washington, the cost of living remains unsustainable for most Americans as our President pushes us to the brink of another endless war.
If we are going to take back power and build a better future for working families, we must support and elect leaders with character, conviction, and who are actually prepared to tackle the most pressing challenges facing our country.
Some pundits will try to explain this problem away. Our team at Equal Opportunity Now won't. Not now. Not ever.
If you agree, chip in today to support our mission.
