On Saturday, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi appeared on MSNBC to discuss the January 6th Committee that is set to start their work this week. "McCarthy from the start, along with McConnell, basically destroyed the chance of a bi-partisan independent commission taking this whole inquiry out of Congress, which would have been the ideal. Now we're left with a special select committee since doing nothing is not an option."
The Congressman also spoke with WGN Radio about McCarthy's appointments to the January 6th Committee. "He knew exactly what he was doing when he named Jim Jordan to this committee, he was trying to blow it up. Liz Cheney, who is by no means a liberal Democrat; in fact she's a conservative Republican, she rightfully said that neither of these two people to whom Speaker Pelosi objected should have been named to this committee."
Earlier in the week, Congressman Raja also explained to MSNBC why he's calling for the NOVID Act. "I, and others, introduced the NOVID act, which is a play on words -- no more COVID. This would set up a system to vaccinate 60% of the population of the world's 92 poorest countries. It's not only the right thing to do, but it's also the smart thing to do."
