Seeking your endorsement:

I'm asking you personally: Will you sign your name to officially endorse me before midnight? If I can gather 1,000 endorsements before midnight, we'll prove we can stop Republicans from winning my seat. But if I miss my goal, it'll fuel Republican attacks on me -- and a loss here could be the "tipping point" race that hands Republicans the House. I can't overstate the importance of your signature: Can I count on your endorsement in this critical moment? >>

Usually I email you to ask for money.

But today, I really need you to officially endorse my campaign.

Republicans are circling in on me because they know my seat could be the "tipping point" that decides control of the entire House.

I refuse to let them win my seat -- especially when the entire House hangs in the balance. But if I can't get 1,000 official endorsements before midnight, it'll give Republicans all the encouragement they need to hurl even more attacks at me. I can't tell you how important your signature is at this moment. Can I count on you to officially endorse me before midnight?

Sandeep, this month I've been absolutely relentless in my fight for justice and accountability.

I rallied for stricter gun laws -- and now the NRA wants me gone.

I rallied for stricter privacy laws on women's health apps -- and now Big Tech is unhappy.

I rallied for accountability for Trump and his January 6th rioters – and the Republican Party added me to their hit list.

Sandeep, I'll always rally to have your back, even if it puts a target on me. But today, I'm asking you to have my back.

Before midnight: Will you sign on and officially endorse my campaign? Please -- I'm counting on 1,000 signatures before midnight.

Endorse Raja >>

Thanks,

Raja

I won’t sugarcoat it

Sandeep, this email is really hard for me to write, but I won't sugarcoat it:

I missed my End of Month fundraising goal.

Right now, I'm still $2,702 short of where I need to be right now. I hate asking, but I can't afford to fall short for even a day -- not when my seat could be the "tipping-point" that hands Republicans control of the House. Can you chip in $100 or whatever you can right now to close this gap? It would mean so much to me. >>

}Sandeep, allow me to explain.

This midterm election is going to be the toughest I've ever faced.

As you read this, Republicans are waging a NEW wave of attacks against me and spreading lies to voters across my district.

I need to ramp up my re-election campaign -- not scale back at this critical moment.

Launching ads, reaching critical voters, sending mail, getting out into the field...

It's not cheap.

With so much at stake, I can't afford to fall short of a single goal. I just need $2,702 more in the door before midnight to get back on track, protect my district, and hold the House for Democrats. Can I count on your $100? >>

Chip in $100 immediately >>
Chip in $19 immediately >>
Chip in $24 immediately >>
Chip in $50 immediately >>
Chip in $100 immediately >>
Or chip in another amount >>

Thanks for sticking with us,

Raja

Raja Update 8/3/22

Dear Friend,

We hope all is well with you and your family, and that you are safe and healthy.

This week, Congressman Raja joined other local leaders to speak out against railroad merger plans that would increase traffic and noise in the Northwest suburbs. The leaders also sent a letter to the Surface Transportation Board in Washington, D.C, requesting it conduct public hearings this summer before approving the merger. "One train could be as long as 12,000 feet or more than two miles long. That could potentially block every single intersection in one town, which means we would have traffic jams throughout the suburbs," the Congressman said. "These companies are attempting to railroad merger through Washington, so now is the time to speak up and make sure their concerns are heard right now."

On Thursday, Congressman Raja joined John Williams on WGN Radio to discuss Wednesday's Committee on Oversight and Reform hearing in which the Congressman questioned gun manufacturers about their ads on social media. When John asked Congressman Raja what Congress could do to keep dangerous weapons out of the wrong hands, the Congressman told him, "I've called for ceasing the sales of these particular AR-15 style assault weapons. And the reason is very simple. They are proliferating at such a great pace that we now are seeing advertisements for AR-style weapons that can pierce body armor and shoot through every bullet-proof vest that even law enforcement has. We are basically having weapons of war becoming accessible to average citizens."

Congressman Raja also recently spoke with Mike Flannery on FOX32 Chicago about Schaumburg Police Department's new mental health unit. The $340,000 pilot program is entirely paid for by a federal grant secured by Congressman Raja. The Congressman explained to Mike, "I don't believe in defunding the police. I think we should invest in police departments so they have the capabilities to do what we're doing here. We want to take police offices individually out of the mental health business [to] pair them up with other resources so that they are meeting people where they are, and dealing with the situation so it doesn't escalate out of hand." When asked about the possibility of expanding the program, the Congressman explained, "What I'm hopeful about is that we can glean lessons here that we can apply elsewhere, including Chicago."

We will continue to bring you news about Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi's work in D.C. and Illinois.
