Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi penned an op-ed in the Food-Safety Magazine about the need for the FDA to act now on toxic metals in baby food. "We need to act quickly to resolve this crisis through both legislation and effective regulation. We must ensure that families can trust the safety of the food they feed their children. There is no higher priority—and no time to waste."
The Congressman also spoke on WLS about the Justice Department issuing secret subpoenas on Democratic members of Congress. "Barr says he wasn't involved, Sessions says he wasn't involved, but I'd like to see them testify under oath while being asked the same question. Either they aren't telling the whole truth right now or something even more astounding happened, which is that the White House may have acted through back channels with the FBI."
Earlier in the week, Raja spoke with Don Lemon on CNN about the January 6th Insurrection Hearing. "My biggest problem is that Christopher Wray, the FBI, and the Justice Department are not coming clean with regard to the errors, their lapses in judgement, or their misteps leading up to January 6th, on January 6th, or in the aftermath."
CNN also wrote about Congressman Raja's comments after questioning FDA Commissioner during a House Oversight Committee hearing. "I am more optimistic than ever that Commissioner Woodcock will do the right thing and deny the premarket tobacco product applications (PMTA) for all flavored vaping products, and all high-nicotine vaping products"
