This week, Congressman Raja joined WGN hosts to discuss his recent trip to Taiwan where he joined Speaker Pelosi and other members of Congress. When asked about the reasoning behind the visit, Congressman Raja said, "Two reasons we went, one is especially in light of what happened in Ukraine, we have to prevent what happened in Ukraine from happening with Taiwan and that means we have to stand with our partners, allies, and friends in the region to resist aggression by the Chinese Communist Party. The second reason we went is we want to expand economic ties in the region, especially in light of passage of the CHIPS act, which encourages more manufacturing of semiconductor chips here in the United States." 

Congressman Raja also joined MSNBC's "The Beat" with Ari Melber this week to discuss potential national security implications of the recent search on former President Trump's home. The Congressman was asked by Ari to explain the potential nature of the documents in question and what risk they might pose. "When you mix the classification TS/SCI and the words 'defense information' that raises a big question. Members of the intelligence committee and others, we deal with these documents every day but there are literally people looking over our shoulders as we review these documents, and never have we ever taken those documents out of a secure facility... We're talking about stuff that, quite frankly, our adversaries should never get a hold of." 

On Chicago Tonight, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi explained his thoughts on historic legislation passed by the House, the Inflation Reduction Act. Speaking about the numerous benefits of this bill and how it will affect citizens, the Congressman said that, "Yes, I'm a yes vote. It also lowers the deficit and debt by 300 billion over ten years, so it does a number of things: it lowers carbon emissions, it lowers prescription drug prices, it lowers premiums for insurance policies under the Obamacare exchanges, it lowers deficits and it lowers inflation over time. This is all really good stuff."
