Last weekend, Congressman Raja accepted the Roosevelt Leadership Award from the Franklin Center for Global Policy Exchange and the Ripon Society. In accepting it, the Congressman noted that he is "grateful to the Franklin Center and the Ripon Society for this honor as well as their continuing commitment toward working to bring members of both parties together to overcome the challenges facing our nation."
On Monday, Congressman Raja appeared on the BBC to discuss US trade relations with China and the state of the Chinese economy. He observed that "while our economy is growing, it's very strong and resilient right now with record low unemployment, unfortunately the Chinese are not seeing that, they're seeing the opposite."
On Thursday, Congressman Raja was back on the BBC to discuss aid to Ukraine and the threat of a government shutdown. He noted that "if [Speaker McCarthy] decides that he would like to invite Democrats to the deliberations and to support the package, he'll be much more successful in getting something passed."We will continue to bring you news about Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi's work in D.C. and Illinois.
