TIME: Elon Musk Targets Social Security and Benefits for Cuts, Claiming Widespread Fraud
Trump lies; people die, folks.
The liar-in-chief "promised" Social Security would never be touched in any cutbacks to government spending. But, as we know, Trump can't keep his hands off anything.
Now, his hatchet man, Elon "Slash-and-Burn" Musk, is openly suggesting "that $500 billion to $700 billion" needs to be cut from Social Security.
Here's how Democratic champion Pete Buttigieg responded:
There were howls of protest and denial from the GOP any time we pointed out that Republicans want to cut Social Security. Now the most powerful official in the White House goes on TV and calls it "the big one to eliminate."
Musk, Trump, and their Republican enablers, don't give a damn about protecting Social Security, seniors, or other Americans who rely on federal support for life saving medications, food allowances, child support, and disability benefits.
Team, we must have Democrats in Washington, D.C. and across America with the guts to stand-up to Musk and Trump — strong Democrats ready, willing, and able to protect Social Security and other federal programs.
