Dear Sandeep,
On Tuesday, Raja joined CNN to discuss the chaos in Congress over Trump's refusal to release the Epstein files – a move that ultimately locked up the floor and forced Congress to recess early. He said, "Overwhelmingly people say, 'just disclose the files. What's in the files? Disclose them. Show us full transparency.'... It is basically locking up the legislative process because there are so many people who oppose disclosing those files."
On Tuesday, Raja joined CNBC's Squawk Box to discourage Big Tech companies from relying on Chinese Communist Party controlled companies to build and maintain underwater cables. He said, "In these CCP controlled-entities, they are tasked by their intelligence services to conduct surveillance, hack into telecommunications networks, and they collaborate with those intelligence agencies."
On Wednesday, in his capacity as Ranking Member of the House Select Committee on the Strategic Competition Between the U.S. and CCP, Raja spoke at a hearing about China's coercion and control over markets. "When friends, partners and allies band together they can fight bans by China…If we all operate together, we can fight Chinese coercion."
On Thursday, Raja joined WGN's John Williams to discuss the Epstein files, the Trump administration's refusal to release them, and the fracture within the Republican Party over Trump's lack of transparency. He said, "There is so much interest in having the files disclosed – there are documents, notes, photographs…There needs to be transparency and accountability."
