 | | Hi Sandeep, Last week, I published my agenda to make life better in Illinois' 7th Congressional District. It's based on four ideas: - Lower costs for hard-working families: I will fight to lower costs by restoring the sweeping cuts to programs like SNAP, Medicare, and Medicaid, reverse Trump's destructive tariffs, and help create good-paying jobs. I will fight for community investment and use my experience to kickstart an economy that works for everyone.
- Quality education for every student: I will fight to fully restore cuts made to our public education system, prioritize equitable funding for classrooms and educators, ensure equal access to wraparound services for all public schools, and set our students up for long-term success after graduation.
- Safer neighborhoods: I will fight for safer neighborhoods and lead on public safety with pragmatism and empathy.
- Protecting future generations: I will fight to restore the EPA to its full capacity, pursue funding to solve climate-related public health crises, and invest in climate-friendly urban infrastructure. Further, though rapidly growing technology like artificial intelligence has made leaps and bounds in areas like medicine and manufacturing, it has the opportunity to have significant adverse consequences if left unregulated. As Congressman, I will also fight to prevent unintended consequences from unregulated innovative technology from harming our future generations.
