In 2025, Americans watched Trump and his allies push the country into dangerous territory. New tariffs drove up prices on everyday goods, hitting working families first while corporations passed the costs along. Medicaid and SNAP were put on the chopping block, threatening healthcare and food assistance for millions. Corruption scandals piled up as insiders and donors were rewarded while oversight was dismantled.
At the same time, federal power was weaponized in alarming ways — immigration enforcement grew more secretive and unaccountable, and extreme legislation advanced in Congress that turned personal healthcare decisions into political targets. Across the board, cruelty, chaos, and corruption replaced stability and accountability.
