This week, Early Voting kicked off in my race for U.S. Senate. So, as you read this, some Illinoisans are casting their ballots across the state and making decisions that will determine not just who represents them in Washington, but what kind of Senate we’ll have for the next six years. It’s exciting to see democracy in action. But I’ll be honest with you: it’s also nerve-wracking. Because from this moment forward, every single day matters. Every conversation we have with voters, every ad we run, every volunteer we mobilize – it all translates directly into votes. We’re truly in the final stretch now. And I’m counting on your help to finish strong. Why These Next Weeks Are CriticalLet me explain what we’re up against and why your support right now is so crucial: First, mobilizing our supporters and reaching undecided voters is a massive undertaking. Right now, my team and I are traveling all over Illinois, meeting with voters across the state. We’re powering an army of volunteers who are knocking on doors, making phone calls, and having conversations with their neighbors. We’re broadcasting our message on TV to reach people who haven’t made up their minds yet. All of this costs money. Organizing infrastructure, volunteer materials, travel, media buys – it all adds up very quickly. Second, a Super PAC that has already been caught misleading Illinoisans is on the air with seven figures of ads supporting my opponent. They’re flooding the airwaves in this final stretch. We need to fight back immediately. We can’t let their misleading ads go unanswered while voters are making their decisions. Third, if we fall short of our fundraising goals, we’d have to pull back our efforts at the worst possible moment – just as voters are making up their minds. Remember: every day from now on, thousands of votes across Illinois will be locked in. If we can’t reach those voters before they cast their ballots, we’ve lost our chance to earn their support. That’s the reality of early voting. It’s not a single Election Day anymore – it’s weeks of voting, with decisions being made every single day. What This Race MeansI know I’ve been asking a lot of you throughout this campaign. But I want to make sure you understand what’s at stake – not just for Illinois, but for the country. This race will help determine whether we can flip the Senate and provide real oversight of the Trump administration. Whether we can restore the ACA tax credits that Republicans let expire. Whether we can hold ICE accountable for operating with impunity. Whether we can stop unconstitutional wars and demand that Congress exercise its constitutional war powers authority. The MAGA-controlled Senate has completely abdicated its responsibility for oversight and accountability. They’ve rubber-stamped Trump’s agenda, ignored abuses of power, and put corporate interests ahead of working families at every turn. We can change that. But only if we win races like this one.
