Happy Labor Day

Dear Sandeep,

Labor Day is much more than just a long weekend and the unofficial end of summer. On this day, we celebrate the achievements of American workers.

This day originated in the labor rights movement of the late 19th century. Americans were working long hours just to make ends meet; child labor was at its peak; and many faced unsafe working conditions. On June 28, 1894, President Grover Cleveland signed a bill into law making Labor Day a legal holiday to recognize the tremendous efforts of American workers in helping build what is now the world's greatest economy.

We owe a deep debt of gratitude to the essential workers who have kept our country afloat during this pandemic, and I ask you to join me in thanking these workers, and every worker who has helped make America the greatest, most prosperous country in the world.

Thank you again for everything you do to keep America working for everyone.

Happy Labor Day!

Warm Regards,

Raja
