Happy Labor Day!

Dear Sandeep,

Labor Day is more than just a long weekend and the unofficial end of summer.  On this day, we celebrate the enduring achievements of American workers.

Labor Day originated in the labor rights movement of the late 19th century. Americans were working long hours just to make ends meet. Child labor was at its peak, and many faced unsafe working conditions. In June 1894, President Grover Cleveland signed a bill into law making Labor Day a legal holiday to recognize the tremendous efforts of American workers in helping build what is now the world's greatest economy.

We owe a deep debt of gratitude to our workers and others who power our country forward every day. This year, as we return to a more "normal" Labor Day marked by parades and various festivities, let's remember those who sacrificed so much to earn us the way of life we enjoy, and thank the workers who keep our economy humming today.

Thank you again for everything you do to keep America working for everyone.

Happy Labor Day!

Warm Regards,

Raja
