Raja Update 6/26

Dear Sandeep,

Yesterday, Congressman Raja appeared on MSNBC to discuss the latest on the Wagner Group's rebellion in Russia, and how that could impact the war in Ukraine. Raja remarked, "I believe that whatever [Putin and Wagner] worked out seems to be a pause in their feud as opposed to a resolution, and we'll see in the days and weeks to come how this plays out."

Earlier in the week, Congressman Raja presented the Village of Streamwood with a $330,400 check for the construction of the Madison Drive Bike and Pedestrian Trail. Raja stated, "I am proud to have been able to secure the funding to aid the construction of this trail system, and I look forward to seeing the progress that is made as this project proceeds."

Finally, last Tuesday Congressman Raja joined fellow lawmakers in Detroit to determine how American automakers are faring in their competition with fast-growing Chinese car companies. Noting that China doesn't "play fair" when it comes to testing autonomous vehicles, Raja stated that "the CCP will not allow American car companies to go and test out autonomous vehicles because they don't want us to map their areas and to have the sensor equipment and the cameras and everything else that they think would violate their national security, and so why is it that it's OK to do that here?"

We will continue to bring you news about Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi's work in D.C. and Illinois.
