Trump’s threat to Chicago

Sending troops into Chicago is an unlawful overreach. Here's where I stand.

Hi Sandeep,

President Trump has threatened to send the National Guard into Chicago. Let me be clear: occupying our communities with American troops is an unnecessary and unlawful overreach of power.

This political showboating won't solve our challenges. It would instill fear, damage small businesses, and hurt families who are already struggling with rising costs.

Chicago needs leadership that works with all levels of government, not against them. That's why I'm running. We deserve real solutions for safer neighborhoods, affordable housing, stronger schools, and economic growth that includes everyone.

But to deliver that, we need grassroots supporters like you to build a campaign strong enough to win this race. Can we count on you to chip in $10 today? Every dollar we raise helps us reach more voters about our plans to lower costs, expand affordable housing, and keep our neighborhoods safe.
