Pride is a special time for LGBTQ Americans and allies. This month we honor those who have fought for equality and civil rights, and we celebrate that love is love. I'm proud to be vice-chair of the Congressional LGBT Equality Caucus and to have the opportunity to fight for LGBTQ rights every day in Congress. While America has made great strides over the past decade in supporting the LGBTQ community, we must continue to be vigilant and make sure that we protect and advance those rights which unfortunately are under attack even today.

 

To the LGBTQ members of our community, please enjoy the month, and know that your family, friends, and neighbors are with you in making sure that nobody should be discriminated against based on whom they love. Happy Pride, and best wishes!
