If you're new to our work, Future Forum focuses on engaging young Americans, bridging the divide between young Americans and their government, and inspiring the next generation of leaders. Future Forum, founded in 2015 by Rep. Eric Swalwell, is now chaired by Rep. Darren Soto and our members include powerhouse Democrats like Seth Moulton and Haley Stevens. Our members are all young, hungry for change, and driven to work across the differences that seek to divide us in order to fix the problems plaguing young people. Future Forum members have traveled to over 50 cities across the country and met with thousands of young people where they live, work, and go to school. Members have used feedback from these listening sessions to introduce legislation on issues like gun violence prevention, student debt, and entrepreneurship. We strive to empower young Americans to have a seat at the table in the democratic process. Look, we can't change our democracy without you. Can we count on you to be part of our work?
While we know there is a lot of anxiety and rightly a lot of attention at this moment around COVID-19, we can't lose sight of the important work we need to do to combat the climate crisis, get a handle on student loan debt, and put an end to gun violence -- while we work simultaneously to protect communities from COVID. All require a commitment to bettering our communities -- and both require investments in communities across the country.
