Team: February is Black History Month, and there is so much to celebrate this year.

For the first time ever, over a quarter of Members of Congress are not white – making the 118th Congress the most racially and ethnically diverse in history!

And last month, Democrat Hakeem Jeffries made history as the first Black lawmaker to lead a party in Congress! Team: America's strength comes from its diversity of backgrounds, identities, and experiences, and this is a HUGE milestone for Jeffries, Democrats, and the entire country.

Take a moment to sign on and congratulate Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries for becoming the FIRST Black lawmaker to lead our party!

SAY CONGRATULATIONS

Hakeem has been a staunch leader on voting and civil rights for decades, was one of the Impeachment Managers who made the case to impeach Donald Trump.

From fighting the climate crisis to championing common sense gun safety legislation, Hakeem will proudly lead the fight to represent the priorities of Americans of all ages, backgrounds, and experiences in Washington. His leadership is Black History unfolding before our very eyes – and we're so proud to stand with him.

Take a moment to congratulate Hakeem Jeffries for becoming the FIRST Black lawmaker to lead the Democratic Party in Congress!
