We hope all is well with you and your family, and that you are safe and healthy.

This week, Politico reported on the Congressman's continued leadership on the issue of global vaccination, giving special mention to his work pushing the Biden administration to increase vaccine deployment overseas, as well as asking health department officials for more information to figure out the best way to fight COVID globally.

Congressman Krishnamoorthi joined MSNBC host Ayman Mohyeldin to discuss the fate of funding for COVID vaccination efforts amid Republican opposition. The Congressman told Ayman that, "As I said a couple days ago, I think many of my colleagues and I could not support a bill without global vaccine aid. Global vaccine aid is the only way that we can possibly end this pandemic. Without global vaccine aid, we're going to look at variant after variant come over to the United States, disrupt our economy, and wreck our health. I know firsthand because three of my relatives died of delta variant in India before delta came to the US, and then omicron after that. It's not only the right thing to do, to help vaccinate the 2.5 billion people that remain unvaccinated today, but it's also the smart thing to do if we're ever going to end this pandemic once and for all. 

The Congressman also joined the hosts of WGN9 to share his insights on the Ukrainian crisis. When asked where he thinks the war is headed and what further action the United States needs to take, the Congressman said that, "I think we have to do more of what we've been doing which is supplying crucial armaments, surface to air missile systems, stinger missiles as well as javelin anti-tank missiles to the Ukrainians who are fighting incredibly furiously with great courage." 

Congressman Krishnamoorthi spoke with hosts of the Greg and Dan Show from his hometown of Peoria, Illinois to discuss the recently signed Bipartisan Health Care Provider Protection Act that he co-led, the impact of the bill for Illinois and the United States, and his reasoning for supporting the bipartisan legislation. The Congressman told the hosts that, "The act, a bipartisan bill by the way, both in the Senate and the House, and I was proud to help lead it in the House,….establish[es] for the first time mental health resources for healthcare professionals -- doctors, nurses, hospital staff, who went through a tremendous toll during the pandemic."

I wish I was coming to you with better news. But here's the truth: I missed my End of Quarter fundraising goal. I'm 58 donations short of where I need to be right now. I hate asking, but if I can close this gap by midnight, I'll be on track to reach Democrats' fundraising goals and hold the House.
