Trump’s DOJ is trying to jail me.

I stood up to ICE, and now Donald Trump wants revenge.

The Trump administration’s Department of Justice is trying to send me to prison for up to 17 years. Why? Because I showed up to do my job. Last year, I went to the Delaney Hall immigration detention facility in Newark for an official oversight visit. ICE escalated what should have been a routine oversight visit and wrongfully arrested the mayor of Newark, Ras Baraka.  Mayor Baraka’s charges were quickly thrown out. But Donald Trump’s DOJ set their sights on me, and baselessly charged me with crimes for my oversight work—for doing my job. These charges carry a sentence of 17 years in prison.
