The electoral landscape in Texas is shifting beneath our feet. A few months ago, every poll had us down. But as we’ve successfully reached persuadable voters across all 254 Texas counties, we have done something remarkable:
First, we brought this race to a tie. Now, we have taken the lead.
Meanwhile, Abbott’s numbers are going in the exact opposite direction. His approval rating is underwater. His favorability is underwater. Never in Abbott’s twelve year career as governor has he been more vulnerable than he is today, and his top campaign advisors have admitted outright they believe our race will be close on Election Day.
But Abbott just unleashed a $12 MILLION wave of attack ads against me — his first negative ad spending of the entire campaign. The more scared of losing Republicans become, the more money they will throw at us to mislead voters and erase our real chance at victory. And the truth is: they have enough money to swing this race back in their favor.
