Dear Sandeep,

Last Monday, Congressman Raja spoke with WGN Radio on the Wagner Group's revolt in Russia and the implications for Vladimir Putin. The Congressman commented on the evolving situation, stating that "Putin...sees Prigozhin as a threat and I don't think that Prigozhin or Putin are in the same state that they were a few days ago, and they certainly are both weakened."

Also on Monday, Congressman Raja presented the Wood Dale Park District with $324,475 in federal funding for the construction of a new playground at Wood Dale Central Park. The Congressman said that "as the father of three children, I can personally attest to the impact that parks and playgrounds have on a child's development, which is why I am so pleased to have been able to secure this federal funding for Wood Dale Central Park's Redevelopment Project." You can also watch NBC5's coverage here.

On Saturday, Congressman Raja appeared on CNBC's Squawk Box to talk about his work as Ranking Member of the House Select Committee on China. Noting how Democrats and Republicans have been able to work together on this committee, the Congressman explained that "this is one of those challenges that's so complex–and that's perhaps one of the biggest challenges that we've ever faced as a country–that the only way we can tackle it effectively is to do so on a bipartisan basis."
