Dear Sandeep,
On Tuesday, Congressman Raja and Illinois Tollway officials gave an update on two major infrastructure projects that will make it easier for people to access O'Hare International Airport directly from the western suburbs. He explained, "It's the first time we've talked about piercing the western edge of the airport."
Congressman Raja also hosted a roundtable in the Quad Cities to discuss funding for career technical education (CTE). He explained that "We need to have more resources for people to be able to pursue their [career] path, whatever it is," further adding "We want everyone to succeed... and it's not going to be the same for each individual."
On Wednesday, Congressman Raja and Rep. Moolenar joined Fox News to discuss U.S. military preparedness for conflict with China. In response to a question about American military deterrence, he explained, "Right now, our defense industrial base is in such disrepair that it shows weakness, and that invites aggression [from the Chinese]."
On Saturday, Congressman Raja discussed Donald Trump's tariff threats on NewsNation. He argued that "It doesn't make any sense to impose lower tariffs on China, a foreign adversary, than on Canada… This will pose considerable issues for American consumers and the economy."
