Should DC be the 51st state?

Future Forum PAC

Team,

DC statehood has become a top issue for young Americans and Democrats nationwide. Here's why:

Washington, D.C. has a larger population than states like Wyoming and Vermont. Over 700,000 tax-paying Americans live there, but don't receive any representation in the House or the Senate. Over 46% of D.C. residents are black. If it was granted statehood, it would be one of the most diverse states in the entire country.

Making D.C. a state would make way for two more Senate seats in Washington. Republicans know that these Senators would represent one of the most diverse constituencies in the country — a constituency that has a strong Democratic leaning.

D.C. statehood will have massive implications for the next generation and for the future of American politics, so we want to know where you stand. Should D.C. become America's 51st state? Vote now.

YES

NO

Thanks for your input!
