Following last week's Daily Herald endorsement, the Chicago Tribune endorsed Congressman Raja for re-election today, marking a clean sweep of newspaper endorsements in this race!
The Tribune's editorial board wrote that Raja is a "smart, articulate federal lawmaker who embraces working across the aisle and fiercely advocates for his district's constituents." The Tribune highlighted some of Raja's recent major legislative achievements by saying, "He…has been at the vanguard of legislation to curb America's youth vaping epidemic, and has secured hundreds of thousands of dollars in funding to help Schaumburg police establish a mental health unit to de-escalate crises during emergency calls, and assist the Hoffman Estates Police Department's bid to rein in domestic violence….8th District voters should feel good about the representation Krishnamoorthi has given them. Krishnamoorthi is endorsed."
Congressman Raja is grateful for the outpouring of support for his re-election this coming November, and looks forward to continuing to serve the citizens of Illinois' 8th district.
